Gesha | Colombia Finca Las Marias
The air at Finca Las Marias shifts between warm and cool, with direct sunlight heating the land while the altitude brings cooler pockets of air. Located in the Intertropical Convergence Zone where two thermal equators meet, the farm's climate allows coffee to grow year-round in all stages on the branches. Combined with ideal soil, rainfall, and temperature conditions, this environment is perfect for cultivating high-quality coffee.
José Giraldo grows his Gesha coffee at 2050 meters above sea level, with rows extending from the farm’s peak down to the river valley. After ten years of careful cultivation, the Gesha shrubs have produced delicate, floral flavors, which can be tasted in the ripe cherries, as well as in the roasted coffee.
